At the Lebanon Day organized at Abdullah Gül University (AGU), students promoted their culture and country. As part of the Intercultural Series organized jointly by the International Student Association Club and AGU International Office, the Lebanon Day event was held in the Rectorate Conference Hall on the Sümer Campus.
The Lebanon Day was launched with the national anthems of both countries, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Müge Akın, the advisor to the International Student Association Club, made an the opening speech. Assoc. Prof. Akın stated that the intercultural series is organized to introduce home countries of our foreign students and help everyone learn about their cultures. At the event, the Lebanese students of the University made presentations to their Turkish and other international classmates as well as the University's administrative staff and gave social, cultural, geographical, and historical information on their country.
The students performed their traditonal dance plaiyng their cultural music. At the end of the event, the Lebanese students offered traditional food and beverages to the participants.
