This week, AGU international students and Erciyes Koleji high school students came together again for the latest AGU Intercultural Workshop, where AGU international members meet with local high school students to present their countries, cultures and traditions to them and practice English together.
This time, it was our AGU Egyptian community that introduced their country and culture to the high school students visiting our campus. Our Egyptian students had already hosted an intercultural workshop in 2018.
After the traditional introduction in front of the whole group of high school students, led by the President of the AGU International Association (student club), they were divided into two groups, each with one Egyptian member, in order to discuss different aspects of the Egyptian culture, geography and history.
After the group discussions, the participants were brought back together into one classroom so that the high school students could present their findings in front of their classmates.
The workshop was concluded with some general discussions about what had been learned.
