06 Apr 2018 - 06 Apr 2018

The Abdullah Gül University International Office has been working closely with English teachers of AGUV-TOBB Tekden Anadolu High School in order to bring together some of their top-achieving students with AGU international members (students or staff), in order to create intercultural exchange and give the high-schoolers the opportunity to practice their English.

After meeting with AGU’s Moroccan, Pakistani and Egyptian students to learn about their countries and cultures, the high school students and their English professors returned to the University this week, this time to exchange with two of the Abdullah Gül University’s Somali students Ali and Mohamed, from the AGU Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering.

Before staring the Workshop, the our visitors were quizzed by the Head of the International Office, Emeric Abrignani, on trivia from the past Intercultural Workshops sessions, to see how much they had learned.

Once divided into their usual working sub-groups, each led by one Somali student, the high school students learned and asked questions on the Somali geography, history, flag, food, dress and dance.
